our recent stay near aberfoyle was absolutely amazing. macdonald exceeded our expectations in every way during our romantic date. the fantastic views of the loch, the comfortable bed, and the excellent spa treatment were all highlights for us.

Wifi was down.

The apartments were spacious with great views and private balconies. Dogs were welcome and staff were helpful and friendly. The grounds were terrific with plenty of outdoor activities. The swimming pool and spa facilities were a bonus.

All was good.

We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The room had stunning views over the Loch and the bed was very comfortable. The food, especially dinner, was exceptional. The gardens and pool were also a nice addition to our stay. Despite a few minor issues, the staff were generally friendly and helpful.

The spacious lodge provides ample room for privacy, with the added bonus of multiple bathrooms and a sauna. Kids will love the swimming pool, ensuring hours of fun. The clean and comfortable rooms guarantee a good night's sleep, while the stunning views from the balcony add to the overall charm.

Some of the staff members were perceived as rude and unhelpful, detracting from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Great location, stunning scenery, clean and spacious apartment, friendly staff. Close to Aberfoyle, Go Ape, Blair Drummond, and beautiful walks and water activities nearby. Perfect for retiring in this Scottish paradise! ❤️

We had a fantastic evening at a nearby pub with a great atmosphere, perfect for a get together with friends. The location was stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. After a few drinks, we returned to our lodge for a delicious dinner, enjoying the fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining area. The lodge itself was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

We did notice some areas of the resort that were not well-maintained, such as the bins, laundry area, discarded equipment, and smoking area for the staff. This could be improved to enhance the overall experience for guests.

The location was stunning, peaceful, and relaxing. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had breathtaking views of Loch Ard. The facilities exceeded expectations, with a gym and pool available. The red squirrels and ducks in the grounds were a delightful touch.

Great location with beautiful views. Self-catering apartments were once lovely. Property could benefit from some care and attention. Two-bedroom lodge was spacious and well-equipped. Bonus features included two bathrooms, a shower room, and a sauna. Perfect for families with a nearby playground. Outdoor activities available nearby at Go Outdoors.

The lodge I stayed in had old decor, a damp smell, and multiple light bulbs were out.
